The Challenge
Leadership had access to large volumes of project information but limited confidence in what required attention.
Projects were reporting in different ways, escalation thresholds were inconsistent and governance discussions often focused on status rather than decisions.
The Work
The work focused on improving portfolio visibility and governance.
This included strengthening reporting standards, improving RAID discipline, clarifying escalation routes, creating greater consistency across project reporting and focusing governance discussions on risks, dependencies and decisions.
The Outcome
Projects reported in a consistent way against shared escalation thresholds, so leadership could see which risks, dependencies and decisions needed intervention.
Governance meetings spent less time reviewing status and more time agreeing actions and decisions.
